Crema and the taste of coffee
Colombia Supremo Medelin Andeano - light roast coffee beans with a delicate yet rich flavour. The light roast is characterised by more pronounced notes of chocolate and juicy fruit. In general, light roast coffees are slightly more refreshing. In the case of Colombia Supremo Medelin Andeano light roast coffee beans, this is a big advantage.
Origin of the coffee

Colombia is one of the world's largest producers of plantation coffee. More than half a million smallholders farm extensive plantations from the Andes to the Cordilleras. Coffee grows in the lowlands, at the foot of the hills, but also high in the mountains. Therefore, Colombian coffee has a different nuance of flavour. But in general it is an Arabica with a strong aroma.
Medelin is an agglomeration located in the Aburrá valley, in the central region of the Andes mountains. It is also the home of a small family business - Villa Maria, which produces coffee of exceptional quality. The income of this small plantation is considerable, but the quality of the coffee is indisputable and well known in roasting houses all over the world. The coffee fruit (Coffea arabica) is harvested in the second half of the year, from September to December. After being harvested by hand, it is processed by the so-called wet method, i.e. it is sprinkled in water (the poor quality ones remain on the surface and are removed, while the rest sink down), then passed through crushing plates (the husk and fibre are removed) and fermented.
At Villa Maria farm, the coffee is fermented at night. It is then dried first in the open air and then in a drying plant. The company has gained recognition for its commitment to the environment and production is carried out accordingly.
Located in an area of exceptional biodiversity, the farmers have bought up the surrounding land, which will remain untouched in the future. How about tasting a coffee from a small family business, roasted just right to develop its unique characteristics in the filter or dripper? Would you like to?
