Crema and the taste of coffee
Ethiopia Aricha Natural Grade 1 BIO is a premium quality arabica coffee with a beautiful medium lemony acidity and a round, velvety body. The taste is attractive, combining blueberries, bergamot and caramel. The second sip offers notes of ripe fruit, accentuated by a caramel finish.
Origin of coffee

Anyone with even a passing interest in coffee will have heard of the Yirgacheffe region. It is one of the most important coffee growing areas in southern Ethiopia, at the foot of the Gorazde Mountains. Here, coffee trees grow high in the mountains, allowing their red fruits to ripen slowly and develop the best coffee flavours.
According to some sources, coffee was discovered in Ethiopia around 850 AD, so it was born there, so to speak. The locals also consider the preparation of coffee a ritual, which can take up to two hours and is only reserved for very close friends of the host.
It is also worth noting that Ethiopia has had a turbulent history and the political and economic environment has clearly had an impact on coffee production. One of the country's biggest downturns was in 2003, when the producer price of coffee did not even cover the cost of growing and processing it. Many producers then had to abandon their plantations and seek a livelihood in the big cities. Nevertheless, Ethiopia's farms survived and coffee remained the country's most important export.
Arabica Ethiopia Aricha Natural Grade 1 BIO takes its name from the Aricha processing station, which was founded by local farmers. The second generation of coffee farmers decided to build the plant, which today employs around 1 500 people. The plant's employees also supervise the harvest and carefully monitor the quality of the beans delivered.
The coffee cherries are processed using natural methods, which means that they are spread out on so-called African beds (Aricha has 220 of them) and dried slowly (up to 3 weeks) in direct sunlight. This is a long and demanding process, as the berries must not be wet, they must be turned frequently and finally the grains must be freed from their dried skins and pulp. The resulting coffee has naturally fruity notes and a complex sweetness. Yirgacheffe coffee has a citrus flavour profile and a round body. The beans of one of the most prestigious coffee regions are loved by connoisseurs around the world. Ethiopia Aricha Natural Grade 1 BIO will not disappoint perfection seekers and fans of solid quality. With mild citrus notes, it will delight you with its blueberry and caramel flavours.
