The taste and foam of coffee
Honduras SHG EP BIO coffee is a coffee with a balanced taste of ripe fruit. You will definitely be able to identify the citrus tones in the caramel embrace. As this coffee is Arabica, the acidity is medium and the cream is lighter.
Origin of coffee

From the name alone, it is easy to recognise that this is a tribute to a coffee with exceptional qualities and parameters. The abbreviation SHG (Strictly High Grown) refers to the higher altitude from which this coffee originates, and from this we can deduce the fact that the coffee bushes are grown at lower temperatures. This means that the fruit of the coffee shrubs ripen more slowly. The taste is fuller and the quality is better. The abbreviation EP in the name of the coffee (European Preparation) informs consumers about the manual grading of the beans. Farmers can thus guarantee a clean harvest. As for the country of origin of this Honduras SHG EP BIO Arabica, it is worth mentioning that Honduras is a small country, but the fifth largest coffee producing country in the world. Despite the coffee diseases that have plagued its plantations in recent decades, it has become an increasingly strong supplier of high quality coffee beans. The first coffee plantations were established in Honduras in the late 19th century. Today, more than 100 000 families are involved in coffee production, 95% of them smallholders, 70% of which have less than 2 hectares of land. Interestingly, the average age of coffee farmers in Honduras is decreasing. Young people consider their production and marketing to be a good investment, and they are also succeeding in penetrating specialised markets. The La Paz region is one of the most famous coffee producing areas. Marcala-Montecillos cultivates its coffee trees at an altitude of 1300 metres above sea level, according to the rules of organic farming. This means that they do not use any industrialized sprays or fertilizers. The coffee beans are harvested between December and April. The red coffee beans are processed by a process known as washing, and the resulting green coffee beans are usually dried in the sun. Hand-picked, BIO quality. Beans from the traditional coffee region are part of the world's coffee gold standard. The clean, smooth and elegant taste is characterized by fruity tones. After all, coffee bushes have been grown in the southwest of Honduras for decades. Thanks to its ideal natural conditions, it can compete with other Central American countries. No wonder La Paz coffee is becoming increasingly popular on the market. Place of origin:
